It's a Sale!

Hello!

I wanted to drop by and share the news that there is a sale at Flourishes through midnight EST on Monday!

Here's what Jan Marie had to say...

Yes, it's time for candy corn and Halloween!

To celebrate, we have decided that there will be no tricks - only treats!  So our entire October release is on sale through Midnight EST on Monday, October 31st for 15% off!!

Want even more??  If your order is $55.00 or more you will receive free shipping as well!
(International rates apply for all non US addresses... sorry!)

For those of you that can only purchase a single set, we will offer $3 shipping in a plain brown envelope, and there is always flat rate shipping available as well if two or three sets fall into your treat bag!  ( Just a heads up... Unfortunately, there is no insurance or tracking number available for the $3 packages, and, while we would do all we could, they don't carry the same guarantee as the flat rate shipping if you happen to have a problem receiving your order.)

Here are the sets that are on sale...

Have fun filling your treat bag!  But remember, this treat comes to an end at Midnight EST Monday night!

Flourishes Friday Free For All - Poinsettia

Hello again!

I'm back today with a card for our Friday Free for All over at Flourishes LC.  Today Rebekah challenged us to make a card using pastel colors, with our sentiment in black...

I decided that a poinsettia would be pretty in pastels, because I really like the soft pink ones.  They make such a lovely change from the bright red and green that you normally associate with them.  I stamped my image from Year in Flowers 3, on Flourishes Classic White cardstock and then colored the poinsettia with Spectrum Noir markers.  I matted it with a stitched circle and a couple scalloped circles before embossing one side of my base layer with a snowflake embossing folder. The sentiment from Christmas Sentiments is stamped in black ink.  Just a little bit of gold cord and some accents with my stardust pen complete the look.

Here are the sets that I used...

Your Next Stamp Feature Day - Favorite Technique

Hello friends!

I'm finishing up my month of guest designing for Your Next Stamp today.  {sniff, sniff!}  It has been such a wonderful experience and I can't say enough good things about the people and products that I've been privileged to work with this month.  If you haven't "found" Your Next Stamp yet, I do hope you will take a look!!

So today is Feature Day and we were to use our favorite technique on our card.  Hmmm... Techniques are hard for me, cuz I'm not really a technique person.  Ummmm.... I know!  I love to watercolor and I like to heat emboss.  Let's combine them!

I stamped this sweet Gretchen and Owl image on watercolor paper and then watercolored it with Distress Markers.  I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock with Versamark ink and then embossed it with white embossing powder.  After I matted the panel, I actually cut the red cardstock down to size to make my card base and then added some Gumdrops for snow.

Thanks so much for following along with my YNS cards this month and for leaving such sweet comments.  It has been a pleasure!! : )

Blessings!

Flourishes New Release - Christmas Sentiments

Looking for my Your Next Stamp post?  Click HERE

Welcome!  Today I have a fun card to share that uses the new Christmas Sentiments set from  Flourishes LC!  Splitcoaststampers has some fun challenges going on right now during Falliday Fest and one of the tutorials showed how to make a Twisted Gatefold card.  Here's my attempt!!

Isn't that fun??  I used some lovely Authentique patterned paper from the shop and layered it over some Christmas Red cardstock.  I cut a piece of Classic White cardstock with a circle die and popped up a couple of images from the Must Be Santa set.  Then I added a red velvet bow and some jingle bells over my sentiment tag.  You really should try the tutorial yourself.  It was so much fun!

Your Next Stamp Sketch 50

Yay!  It's sketch challenge time at Your Next Stamp!!  I had so much fun making this card!  First let me show you the sketch I followed...

Well, I sort of followed it.  Actually I flipped it up and put the sentiment on the top so I could do this...

Acck!  Aren't you just in love with Phoebe's cute little animals???  They really couldn't be any sweeter.  Unless, of course, you add a couple of snowflakes from the Winter Tag Die, and tuck in a tag cut down from one of the Tag/Bookmark dies, and frame them with the Stitched Rectangle die...  That does possibly make them even more adorable! :)  I colored the little cuties with Spectrum Noir markers and added some highlights with gel pens.

Winter Wonderland Phoebe

I do hope that you can play along!  Remember, if you don't want to use the sketch you could always use the color challenge colors...

Flourishes New Release - Hanukkah

Hello friends!

Today we are featuring the new Hanukkah set by Flourishes LC...

I stamped both my image and sentiment in Versamark ink on Navy cardstock and then embossed them in white.  I love the contrast with the pretty Authentique designer paper underneath.  It definitely gives the idea of Hanukkah being a festival of light!

Hello again!  I have another  Flourishes LC  new release card to share today using the Go Tell it on the Mountain set illustrated by Lauren Pope.

Isn't this a pretty Christmas set??  I watercolored the image with Distress Markers and then cropped it when I die cut it.  The pretty sentiment is from the Christmas Sentiments set and the background on the Kraft cardstock is the Diamond Background Stamp.

Flourishes New Release - Year of Flowers

Welcome!  Today I have a card to share with a set from the new release at Flourishes LC!  Bev has illustrated a beautiful trio of sets called Year of Flowers 1, 2 and 3.  I am using Year of Flowers 2 on my card today.

I used some lovely Authentique patterned paper from the shop and layered it over some Christmas Red cardstock.  I cut a piece of Classic White cardstock with the Classic Keyhole die and embossed it to make a background for the Poppy that I had fussy cut.  A sentiment and some twine and I was done!

Flourishes Friday Free For All

Hello again!

I'm back today with a card for our Friday Free for All over at Flourishes LC.  Today Linda challenged us to make a card featuring a sentiment and I immediately had this card in mind...

I stamped the "Happy Thanksgiving" sentiment with Versamark ink all over a layer of Ivory Cardstock, then embossed it with clear embossing powder.  After I sponged on some fall colors, I stamped the tree image in Charcoal Brown ink.  The sentiment is embossed in white on a little bit of Charcoal Brown cardstock.

Flourishes Friday Free For All

Hello everyone!

I'm back today with a card for our Friday Free for All over at Flourishes LC.  Today I challenged the team to use patterned paper, because I just love it! I used the sweet bunny and cabbage images from the Bushel of Thanks set for my card...

I watercolored the cabbage and cut it out with a pierced oval die, then watercolored and cut out a bunny which I attached with foam tape.  I added a pop of pink in the mat and the enamel dots, and layered everything onto a background of patterned paper.

Your Next Stamp - Challenge 49

Hello friends!

I'm back today with a card for the current sketch challenge over at Your Next Stamp.  I really wanted to use the sweet new Create a Christmas Tree die from the last release, so I decided to make a Christmas card.

I layered three pieces of gold designer paper together and ran them through with the dies, then mixed and matched as I wished.  I cut the trunk from some kraft cardstock and then put my tree together.  My sentiment is from the Gretchen and Owl set and if you look carefully at the gold-ish cardstock, you can see that I cut it with the Stitched Scallop Edge Die.  I love stitched dies, don't you?  In fact I cut the background panel with a Stitched die as well!! :)

Here is the sketch I used...

Or you could make a card with the colors...

Or both!  Just link up your project on the Your Next Stamp blog to be in the running for a gift certificate to the store!

Your Next Stamp Be Merry

Hi everyone!

I'm back with another card with the critters from Winter Wonderland Phoebe because they are just too cute!!  I followed the Mojo Monday sketch for the week...

They just ooze sweetness, don't they??  My daughter has laid claim to this as her Christmas card. :)

Oh, and the sentiment is from my other favorite set this release - Sending Joy.
I love how delicate it is!!

Sigh.  I love crafting for this time of year!  Snowflakes, scallops, stickles...  Pure joy!! : )

Your Next Stamp - Design Team Dare

Hello again!!

Today is a fun day over on the Your Next Stamp Blog.  I'm playing along with this month's DT Dare to make a square card.  As soon as I heard the challenge, I had a picture in my mind of what I wanted to do and it was so fun!

The adorable new Winter Wonderland Phoebe set has this fun snowflake border that I thought would make a cute frame on a square card.  I cut out 4 of them with the matching dies, and then I added in some hills cut with the Double Stitched Hills dies.  I colored Phoebe and her foxy friend with Spectrum Noir markers and a little colored pencil, and then I used a white gel pen to add accents.  I added some sparkly Magical Pastel Gumdrops for snow.  I can't wait to play with this set some more.  Phoebe has the most adorable little animals and a sled.  Soooo sweet!!

Be sure that you run over to the Your Next Stamp blog and leave some love, ok?  You might just win your choice of a free set!  And don't forget that there is a sale that is still going on for another day or so!!

Your Next Stamp - October Guest Designer

Hi everyone!  I'm being introduced over on the Your Next Stamp blog as one of the October guest designers -- SO fun!!!  And I thought I'd share my card here, too!  It's been a year now since I first met Your Next Stamp's Hot Cocoa Phoebe and fell in love with YNS stamps, so I thought it would be appropriate to make a card with her for my guest dt intro. : )

I just love her!!  She is so sweet in her little ponytails and furry jacket and boots.  And she has coffee... or hot chocolate... so she is just perfect! : )  The sentiment is from another Phoebe set - Phoebe with wagon.  And if you come back tomorrow, I'll have a card to share with the newest Phoebe set - Winter Wonderland Phoebe.  Seriously - could those little animals get any cuter??

Thanks so much for dropping by to share my excitement!  See you tomorrow!!

Your Next Stamp - October New Release Blog Hop

Hello again, friends!

I told you that I would be back with an overdose of Your Next Stamp cuteness and here I am! Welcome to my stop on the New Release Blog Hop!!

Be sure that you hop around to all the blogs in the link list below to get lots of inspiration using the new sets and dies (that are all in the YNS Store right now, by the way!!).  And remember to leave comments as you hop to be in the running for a $25.00 gift certificate to the Store!

Honestly, there are SO many adorable sets in this release that it was hard to pick which one to use first.  There is such a sweet Phoebe set, and you know how I love Phoebe!  But then I saw this set...

Ready for cuteness??

Let me introduce Sending Joy...

Oh, goodness, I am smitten with these mice!  Especially the one above the bow.  He reminds me of the Pillsbury Dough Boy!! :)  For the card, I stamped and embossed the image on watercolor paper and then cut it out with a Your Next Stamp Stitched Rectangle die.  I watercolored the mice and wreath with Distress Markers and added some gel pen accents.  And isn't that sentiment font gorgeous???  sigh!

Now off you go through the hop.  :)   And remember, as your wish list expands, that Karen is giving 20% off your entire order through October 6th.  Woohoo! I just love that!!

Thanks so much for stopping!  I'll be back soon with more YNS inspiration!
