CASometry Challenge #5

Well, here we are at the end of the CAS-ometry Challenge.  Five CAS cards using the same set.  I must say that this was harder for me than I thought - even though I love the set.  I didn't realize how difficult clean and simple is for me!!

For today's challenge we needed to CASE a card from the Pinterest Board.  Here's my card...

and I CASE'd this gorgeous card here...

The gal's blog is all in Russian, though, so I can't even tell you her name.  I just loved the simple scalloped edge, the watercoloring in an oval and the pop of red.  So sweet!

Here's a parade of my other 4 cards...

Thanks for such a fun challenge, Anna!!

Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hi again!

I'm back to share a card I made for this week's sketch and color challenge over at Your Next Stamp.  Usually I end up using the sketch, but this week I decided that the yummy colors would be perfect for a birthday card featuring Phoebe.  I don't have Birthday Phoebe yet (she is next on my wish list!) but Phoebe with a wagon has both a sweet birthday cake and birthday sentiment so I went with her.

After I cut my square panel out with the YNS Stitched Square die, I used an embossing folder on one corner.  Next, I embossed the sentiment into the corner using Versamark and clear embossing powder.  Finally, sponged the corner with yellow ink until my sentiment was bright and then I added Phoebe, the wagon and the cake with 3D foam.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello Friend

Hello again!

I'm sharing a card I made for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge  today using the colors yellow, green and black.  I used the pretty Hello Friend stamp set that I picked up when I visited Gina K's new brick and mortar store a couple of weeks ago.

Here's the challenge graphic for the week...

What's Mew?

I needed to make a quick card to put in the mail this morning, so I decided to play along with this week's Sugar Pea Designs sketch.  I was blessed to win the monthly grand prize a month or two ago, and I used a couple of my new goodies on my card... the What's Mew set and the zig zig circle dies.

Here's this week's sketch!

So Thankful, So Happy

I just love Taylored Expressions Share Joy challenge, but I have been terrible at getting my card in under the deadline.  I think that one week I put it off and then I just got out of sync.  At least three or four times I know that I've forgotten that it closes on Wednesday noon and have been ready to post my card a half an hour too late.  Sigh.  Well, not this week!  I am posting the day of the challenge!!  Yay, me!! : )

I used my forever favorite stamp from TE - Zinnia Bouquet - and stamped it in Versamark ink.  After I embossed it, I watercolored it with markers and splattered a little marker around it for texture.  The sweet little words are from the Simple Stories I Am paper pack.  I mostly followed the sketch, but I tried to leave it fairly clean and simple, too, so I'd be covered... : )

I'm planning to send this out as a birthday card next week to one of the gals in my Birthday Club.  I'd love to have you join, too, if you'd like, even if you aren't a GraceWorks planner addict!!

Blessings!

A Sweet Hello

Hi friends!

Whew!  This has been a crazy month for me so far! The day before my daughter left to fly back home, I had an allergic reaction to some food I ate that gave me hives down my throat for over a week, and then I was out of town for a few days for a little getaway with my husband.  It's taken me three days being home to find my footing again, but today was the day... It was time to STAMP!! :)  I decided to use the sketch from Your Next Stamp to get my creative juices flowing again.

I used both the Waddles Brrr-thday set and the Woodland Cuties set for my card - both from Your Next Stamp - as well as a couple of dies from my stash and some pretty new patterned paper that I picked up at Village Paper and Ink - Gina K's new brick and mortar retail store.

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Peek A Boo!

Hi again!

The Mod Squad had a peek a boo challenge this week and I found it very, ahem, challenging.  I decided to use one of my favorite Gina K sets - Sending Love - and make a birthday card.

If you notice that my patterned paper isn't straight on the card... let's just pretend it was supposed to be like that, ok?  The heart is wonky, so the paper is wonky, too!! : ) (Or maybe the paper slipped when I ran it through my diecutting machine... maybe....)

It is a fun look, though, isn't it?  Maybe not so fun that I would try it again, soon, but a cute card to send that will bring joy to the recipient.  And that's what it's all about, right?!! : )

Speaking of Gina K Designs, I'm SO excited that her new brick and mortar store opens tomorrow!!  It's called Village Paper & Ink and it is located in Historic Downtown Greendale, Wisconsin.  I can't wait to make the trip!

I'm entering my card in the following challenges...

Mod Squad - Peek a Boo
Paper Players - yellow, twine, birthday

Have a splendiferous day!

My daughter is visiting this week from Florida, so I'm not stamping a ton, but I wanted to be sure to get in my entry for part 3 of the CAS-ometry challenge!  This time I followed a sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.
