More Yeti Fun!!

I'm pretty sure this is my most favorite card in the history of ever.  I am SO in love with blue and green and orange yetis!! :)  I had seen Anita use this Hip Hip Hooray pad of paper by Doodlebug and loved it, so I snapped it up during Black Friday when I found it at Joann for under $2.00 on sale.  I love how bright and cheerful it is!!  And now I'm going to have trouble seeing these little monsters in any other colors!  LOL!!

Be sure to check out Craftin Desert Divas for this set and others.  I'm not working for them, just a happy customer spreading the word!! :)

New Stamps!

Hi friends!

I'm sharing a card today with my new Yeti to Party stamps from Craftin Desert Divas.  A new to me company with cute stamps. : )  They just had a mini release and I fell in love with these little beasties and couldn't wait to color one up.  So when they came in the mail today I made a card for the CDD Mood Board challenge.

Isn't he adorable?? : )  I also used a couple dies from the Fancy Frame Die set which I think is going to see a lot of use as well!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

I'm finishing up my term on the Flourishes Design Team with a card for the Friday Free for All over at Flourishes LC.  Today we were challenged to make an interactive card.

I decided to make a shaker card featuring some pretty paper I found in my stash.  Then I stamped my image from Year in Flowers 3, on Flourishes Classic White cardstock and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.

Flourishes / Imagine Crafts Blog Hop

Thank you for joining Flourishes LC and Imagine Crafts on this fabulous Cyber Monday!  We are excited to share projects with you using each company’s products and many unique styles. Make sure to leave a comment on each designer’s blog as there will be prizes given to two commenters chosen at random from the comments left on designers' blogs.  Here's my project...

I have a shimmery card to share with you today, featuring the Glory to God set by Flourishes and beautiful Golden Glitz Delecata ink  from Imagine Crafts.  This ink is so shimmery and beautiful in real life.  The picture does NOT do it justice.

I tried to catch some of it's shine here.  You would almost think I had embossed it - but I didn't!

Isn't it pretty??   The white cardstock and patterned paper are from the Flourishes shop as well... So many fun things to look at on this Cyber Monday! :)  And if you check out the Flourishes Blog post at the bottom of the list you'll find a code for 30% off selected stamps, and a buy one / get one offer, too!  Woohoo!

I know you'll want to keep hopping so here's the list...  Don't forget to leave comments along the way -- and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Friday, everyone!  We have some pretty cards for you to browse between your Black Friday shopping sprees, today!  Our challenge was to use red and/or poppies.

Here's my card using the Year of Flowers 2 set and the Diamond Background...

I used the Diamond Background on  Christmas Red cardstock to give depth to my background layer   I stamped my image on a piece of Classic White cardstock and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.  An embossed sentiment and some ribbon and twine and I was done!

Thank You

Hi everyone!

I wanted to play along with the Thankful challenge over at the Pink and Main Challenge blog today and since I don't have any of their stamps yet, I pulled out the fall Stamp TV Kit from Gina K and colored up this sweet bear.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions' Pumpkin Bouquet.  I love that font!

I am thankful for each and every one of you that drop by my blog or my instagram feed.   It is fun to share our art with others!

BTW, I found some wonderful coloring pages if you are enjoying the new coloring craze.  Just scroll through Jane Maday's Facebook feed and you'll find lots of fun freebies with cute animals.  My favorite!!

Have a blessed day!

Your Next Stamp Sketch Challenge #52

Hello again!

I've been tucked away in my craft room for the past few days, but organizing and purging rather than stamping!  I didn't want to miss playing along with the Your Next Stamp challenge, though, so I took a break yesterday and made a card with Birthday Phoebe.  She is just so darling!

Thanks for dropping by!

Friday Free For All - Christmas in July

Hello friends!

It is time for another Friday Free for All over at Flourishes LC.  Today we had an interesting challenge... make a card in non-traditional colors for the image.  I chose to make a Christmas card in 4th of July colors...

I used my MISTI to help me line up the Holiday Tree for stamping on the different layers.  After I embossed, I added a sentiment strip from the Christmas Sentiment set.

Flourishes New Release - Winter Birds

Welcome to Day 5 of the new release at Flourishes LC!  I'm sharing a card with the beautiful set Winter Birds today!

I colored the sweet little chickadee with Spectrum Noir Markers and popped him up over a patterned paper background.  The chickadee is easy to color, so it was really a quick card to put together.  Here is the full set.  Don't you just love those birds??

Flourishes New Release - It's All in the Details #2 / Art Deco Alphabet

Hello Again! I'm back with some more cards for the new release at Flourishes LC!  Our feature sets today are a detail set called It's All in the Details 2 and an alphabet set entitled Art Deco Alphabet. For my first card today, I used one of the frames from I's All in the Details 2 as a background for a little coffee vignette from the new set My Cup Overflows.

Here is the set in full...

My second card today is SUPER clean and simple and relies a lot on the pretty background paper that I chose, because I can never think of what I want to spell when I'm using alphabet stamps.  LOL!

I chose a pretty piece of Authentique patterned paper for my card, which I matted and layered over a Classic White cardstock card base.  Simply adding "Hi" and some enamel dots finished off the card nicely.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to hop around and see all the beautiful design team creations and leave a smile along the way!

Flourishes New Release - Camillia Love

Welcome!  Today I have a card to share with a set from the new release at Flourishes LC!  Bev has illustrated a beautiful new set called Camillia Love... (and, yes, this might look familiar... we had a little snafu in the posting order... LOL!!)

I decided to make a square card today, so I cut a piece of Classic White cardstock as my base, and then layered it with some Jillibean Soup patterned paper.  I colored my camilla and fussy cut it before layering it over a teardrop circle die and some pretty seam binding ribbon.  A sentiment and some enamel dots finish it off.

I chose a Christmas-y piece of Authentique patterned paper for my card, which I layered over a Classic White cardstock card base.  I fussy cut my bouquet of flowers after coloring with copics and added a sentiment and some enamel dots for the finishing touches.

What a fun set full of coffee goodies for the coffee (or tea... or even hot chocolate!) lover in your life.  I did a little paper piecing and layering today which took my a little out of my comfort zone.  It was fun, though!  I can't wait to see what you will make with it!!

Friday Free For All - Monochromatic

Hello friends!

I'm back today with a card for our Friday Free for All over at Flourishes LC.  Today we were challenged to make a monochromatic card.

I went with shades of orange and yellow for my card - with a dash of green thrown in.  I stamped my image from Year in Flowers 3, on watercolor paper and used my Tombow markers and a paintbrush to color them in.  The sweet sentiment is from another set in the Flourishes LC store called Autumn Blossoms.  It is such a pretty set and I love the sentiments it has... and it is only $10!! :)

Thankful for you

A few weeks ago now I was privileged to help out at Stamp Joy put on by Taylored Expressions in Ankeny, IA.  This was one of the stamp sets that I picked up during (one) of my shopping time(s).  I decided to spend some time coloring it today so I could play along with Day 2 of Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  Thanks for inspiring me, Cheryl!! :)

I colored my image with a mixture of Copics, ProMarkers, Spectrum Noir Markers and Prismacolor pencils.  With a white gel pen thrown in for fun! : )

It's a Sale!

Hello!

I wanted to drop by and share the news that there is a sale at Flourishes through midnight EST on Monday!

Here's what Jan Marie had to say...

Yes, it's time for candy corn and Halloween!

To celebrate, we have decided that there will be no tricks - only treats!  So our entire October release is on sale through Midnight EST on Monday, October 31st for 15% off!!

Want even more??  If your order is $55.00 or more you will receive free shipping as well!
(International rates apply for all non US addresses... sorry!)

For those of you that can only purchase a single set, we will offer $3 shipping in a plain brown envelope, and there is always flat rate shipping available as well if two or three sets fall into your treat bag!  ( Just a heads up... Unfortunately, there is no insurance or tracking number available for the $3 packages, and, while we would do all we could, they don't carry the same guarantee as the flat rate shipping if you happen to have a problem receiving your order.)

Here are the sets that are on sale...

Have fun filling your treat bag!  But remember, this treat comes to an end at Midnight EST Monday night!

Flourishes Friday Free For All - Poinsettia

Hello again!

I'm back today with a card for our Friday Free for All over at Flourishes LC.  Today Rebekah challenged us to make a card using pastel colors, with our sentiment in black...

I decided that a poinsettia would be pretty in pastels, because I really like the soft pink ones.  They make such a lovely change from the bright red and green that you normally associate with them.  I stamped my image from Year in Flowers 3, on Flourishes Classic White cardstock and then colored the poinsettia with Spectrum Noir markers.  I matted it with a stitched circle and a couple scalloped circles before embossing one side of my base layer with a snowflake embossing folder. The sentiment from Christmas Sentiments is stamped in black ink.  Just a little bit of gold cord and some accents with my stardust pen complete the look.

Here are the sets that I used...

Your Next Stamp Feature Day - Favorite Technique

Hello friends!

I'm finishing up my month of guest designing for Your Next Stamp today.  {sniff, sniff!}  It has been such a wonderful experience and I can't say enough good things about the people and products that I've been privileged to work with this month.  If you haven't "found" Your Next Stamp yet, I do hope you will take a look!!

So today is Feature Day and we were to use our favorite technique on our card.  Hmmm... Techniques are hard for me, cuz I'm not really a technique person.  Ummmm.... I know!  I love to watercolor and I like to heat emboss.  Let's combine them!

I stamped this sweet Gretchen and Owl image on watercolor paper and then watercolored it with Distress Markers.  I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock with Versamark ink and then embossed it with white embossing powder.  After I matted the panel, I actually cut the red cardstock down to size to make my card base and then added some Gumdrops for snow.

Thanks so much for following along with my YNS cards this month and for leaving such sweet comments.  It has been a pleasure!! : )

Blessings!

Flourishes New Release - Christmas Sentiments

Looking for my Your Next Stamp post?  Click HERE

Welcome!  Today I have a fun card to share that uses the new Christmas Sentiments set from  Flourishes LC!  Splitcoaststampers has some fun challenges going on right now during Falliday Fest and one of the tutorials showed how to make a Twisted Gatefold card.  Here's my attempt!!

Isn't that fun??  I used some lovely Authentique patterned paper from the shop and layered it over some Christmas Red cardstock.  I cut a piece of Classic White cardstock with a circle die and popped up a couple of images from the Must Be Santa set.  Then I added a red velvet bow and some jingle bells over my sentiment tag.  You really should try the tutorial yourself.  It was so much fun!

Your Next Stamp Sketch 50

Yay!  It's sketch challenge time at Your Next Stamp!!  I had so much fun making this card!  First let me show you the sketch I followed...

Well, I sort of followed it.  Actually I flipped it up and put the sentiment on the top so I could do this...

Acck!  Aren't you just in love with Phoebe's cute little animals???  They really couldn't be any sweeter.  Unless, of course, you add a couple of snowflakes from the Winter Tag Die, and tuck in a tag cut down from one of the Tag/Bookmark dies, and frame them with the Stitched Rectangle die...  That does possibly make them even more adorable! :)  I colored the little cuties with Spectrum Noir markers and added some highlights with gel pens.

Winter Wonderland Phoebe

I do hope that you can play along!  Remember, if you don't want to use the sketch you could always use the color challenge colors...

Flourishes New Release - Hanukkah

Hello friends!

Today we are featuring the new Hanukkah set by Flourishes LC...

I stamped both my image and sentiment in Versamark ink on Navy cardstock and then embossed them in white.  I love the contrast with the pretty Authentique designer paper underneath.  It definitely gives the idea of Hanukkah being a festival of light!
