{Share Joy} Puppy Birthday

Hi everyone!

I've been stamping like a crazy woman the last few days...  I think I made, umm, 18 cards or so?  But I finished the Hope You Can Cling To challenges just now, so I think it will go back to a more respectable 2 or 3 cards a day now. :)

I wanted to jump on the blog and share my Share Joy card for this week using the TE Watson set and the sketch..  The sentiment is from a JustRite set called Furry Friends...

So what's better than one Watson?  TWO of them!!! : )
My daughter wanted it for her birthday in January, but I'm thinking it will go to my daughter in love instead since her birthday is this week! :)

Thanks for stopping in!

{Stamp Simply} Delight

For my Stamp Simply card today I took a springy set and made it fallish by adding in a blackbird and some fallish-colored flowers.  The paper is from the new Simple Stories We Are Family 6x6 pad.  Aren't they pretty colors??  I used a verse from Verve split into two sections as my sentiment.

{Share Joy Challenge} Buzzing By

Hi everyone!

I've been busy stamping, but I haven't taken the time to take pictures, so I almost forgot to post my Share Joy card this week!  I used the bee from the sweet Sunflower Wreath set to make a clean and simple card...

I think I'll tuck this in a package I'm sending to a friend today.  Just a quick hello!!

There are a few more hours to play along with the challenge if you haven't already!!

{Your Next Stamp} Heartwarming!

Hi friends!

Guess what I got in the mail today???  A super sweet set from Your Next Stamp!!  I fell in love with Hot Cocoa Phoebe during the last release, and I was so excited to be able to get her!! : )  For today's card I just used the sweet snowman and a sentiment and (mostly) followed the sketch on the YNS blog...

I watercolored my little snowman with Distress Markers and layered him over some patterned paper from Gina K Designs.  You can't see it well in the picture, but the snowflakes, words and edges of the snowman sparkle with Stardust gel pen.  He's such a sweetie!  I can't wait to make a card with Phoebe as well!!

{Stamp Simply} Wishing You Joy

It's official.  The Christmas season has begun at my house, because we watched Muppet Christmas Carol over the weekend. : )  I love that movie!!  So, since I was in a Christmas mood and one of the Splitcoaststampers Hope You Can Cling To challenges was to use red and white stripes on your card, I decided to combine the two!  The paper is from Simple Stories Claus and Company.  Doesn't it remind you of one of those peppermint sticks that you used to be able to get?  Not candy canes, but the straight thick peppermint sticks.  Mmmmm.....

Anyway!  I cut out three snowflakes with my Create a Flake Six dies and sponged around them with red ink.  I added some Festive Poinsettias in white ink and then stamped and embossed my sentiment.  I found some buttons in my stash that I dressed up with some burlap string and then finished off the card by adding a pierced border.

Sending More Hope!

Hi everyone!

Just playing along with another Hope You Can Cling To challenge on Splitcoaststampers!
Today's theme was hugs and I had a couple of challenges that I wanted to enter, so I made two with that theme...

First, my Share Joy Challenge card for the week, using the sketch.  I'll be putting this in my HYCCT box that is going to the MD Anderson Cancer Center.  I used the snowman from Taylored Expressions Ready, Set, Snow set.  Isn't he sweet??

And second, this little sweetie.  I used the Viva La Verve sketch (although I had to cut off the circle some) and a sentiment and doodle from Verve's Always on my Mind.  The little girl is from MFT.

Thanks for dropping by today!

{Stamp Simply} Hope

I'm playing along with another Hope You Can Cling To challenge at Splitcoaststampers today using a beautiful JustRite set called Hope and Love.  I embossed the card base with the Dainty Flower embossing folder, then created my focal image panel by stamping the rose image around the edge of the watercolor paper in dye ink and softening the edges with a waterbrush.  A floofy bow and some rhinestones add some sparkle.

Here's my Stamp Simply shopping list!

{Avery Elle} Hello

I pulled out my Avery Elle Peonies set today to play along with a few challenges.  First, the Think Pink challenge on the Avery Elle blog, and second, the Hope You Can Cling To challenge to use a tag.

I inked up my embossing folder before running my yellow cardstock through to give a subtle background.  The flowers were stamped, then sponged, and then I added a little marker for some depth.  A few stickles give a little shine and the ribbon and doily add a little softness.

Thanks for stopping by today!

{Stamp Simply} Heartfelt Prayers

Have you been playing along with the Hope You Can Cling To challenges at Splitcoaststampers??  It's a month of daily challenges geared towards making cards to donate to the MD Anderson Cancer Center.  My card today is for the Hearts For Hope Challenge.  I used some "new to me" supplies from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, like the pretty Chevron embossing folder and the Vintage Filigree Fancies set, and paired them with some hearts cut with the Celebrations Pierced Hearts dies.  Some ribbon and twine complete the look and keep it on the clean and simple side.

Here's my shopping list...

{Share Joy #6} Sending Hugs

Hi everyone!

I'm back with a card for this week's Share Joy Challenge using some adorable Taylored Expressions stamps that just came in the order I received yesterday.   This card is going to a little girl in the UK who has been in the hospital.  She likes pink and purple, but I thought she might not mind a few fallish hedgehog hugs. : )

Now I'm off to do some more shopping at Taylored Expressions, because I won the prize for last week's challenge.  WOOHOO!!!  The only problem is what to choose... I have SO many things on my wish list.  Hmmm....  It's a good problem to have!  Thank you, Taylored Expressions!!

I hope you'll play along, too!!

{World Card Making Day Fun} You Make Me Happy

OK!  One more card and I'll be done. :)  I've had so much fun today!

For this card I played along with the Pick Your Pal challenge at Deedee's Digis again, using row #2 this time.  The image I used is one of the free ones that you can win - really!!  Isn't it precious??

For my sketch I used the current sketch over at Your Next Stamp....

And there you go.  I think I'm done for today!  I hope you've had as much fun on World Card Making Day as I have!!

{World CardMaking Day Fun} You've Got This!

Here's another World CardMaking Day Challenge card!

This time I pulled out the super gorgeous Vine and Butterfly stamp set that was just released by
Gina K Designs.  Isn't it beautiful??   I *love* the sentiment - especially for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges over on Splitcoaststampers - so, of course, that's the first challenge I had in mind.

The colors for my card, though, came from this color palette photo from Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine...

I just love how the colors pop against the light gray!!

Thanks so much for putting up with all these posts today.  I'm having a ton of fun and love sharing with you!!

{World Cardmaking Day Fun} Not the Same

OK, for the record, I haven't gotten ANYTHING done today except to make a couple of cards and print out digis.  I haven't even eaten lunch yet!  But, honestly, I'm having tons of fun!!  I got a box today from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and it had this gorgeous Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice paper in it.  Oooo - what an amazing autumn color palette!!  I colored this adorable Pilgrim Owl from Deedee's Digis, so I could play along with her challenge to use autumn colors, use a button and mail right away.  Now I can't really mail it today, cuz it's Saturday and the mail has already come and gone, but I DO know exactly who I plan to send it to, and it will go out on Monday! The sketch I used is this one from the Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine blog, so I can play along in another WCMD challenge, of course! : )

TTFN!!

{Gina K Designs Inspiration Blog Hop} Wild Blossoms and You've Got a Friend

Welcome back!

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! It's time for our September Release and, boy, do we have some treats for you this month!  We hope to inspire you with some eye candy as you hop along with us!  Enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win an awesome grab bag of GKD goodies. Don't forget to check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop to see if you are the winner!

Today features two of my favorite sets from the hop... although they are all amazing, so it is hard to pick favorites!

First a card from the You've got a Friend set...

Just a little watercoloring and a strip of patterned paper from the Shabby Spring pack.  The sentiment is embossed to stand out a little more.

And another bit of watercoloring using the gorgeous Wild Blossoms set...

This is SUCH an easy card but it looks really difficult.  I simply sponged my layer of watercolor paper generously with shades of ink, then spritzed it with water.  When it was dry - or almost dry - I stamped the vine and flower.  I gave it a quick shot with my heat gun to finish the drying process and added sequins and an enamel bow from my stash.  Easy Peasy!

Don't forget that it is Friday Funday today in the Stamp TV Kit Addicts group - and it is a challenge week !!  Stop by and play along!!

{TCP Tuesday} Sunshine

Hi everyone!

There's a fun challenge over at The Cat's Pajamas this week to CASE a card from one of the DT members.  I saw this card by Julie Elak on the list of cards to case and just loved it, so I had it in mind when I started mine.  Here's Julie's...

Now I'll show you mine, and I'm pretty sure that you will say, "Oh, that poor girl doesn't know what CASEing a card means!!"  And you could be right.  But really, haven't you ever started to CASE something and then it had a mind of its own and went wherever it wanted to??  Haven't you???   That's what this one did.  But I decided to link it anyway, so Julie could see that I loved her card.  : )

So... to continue the story... I wanted a card for the HYCCT challenge over at SplitCoast about the weather that you disliked the most.  And mine would be when it is gloomy and cloudy and you can't see the sun for DAYS and it rains or snows for DAYS and the dogs don't want to go outside and ... well, you get the picture.  So I pulled from Julie's card the white space and the break between the top and the bottom and the colored card base and used her plane placement for the placement of my sentiment...  and here it is...

The sentiment is from one of my FAVORITE sets, Strange and Wonderful.  You really should have this set, if only for the little tiny butterfly that I've used over and over and over and over and over.  But today I used the words instead. : )  And I used some of the Stitched Clouds Cut Ups, too.

Thanks for stopping by today and listening to me ramble!  I hope you'll play along with the challenge... and do a better job than I did!! : )

{Gina K Designs Inspiration Blog Hop} This & That and Simply The Best

** Busy day today!  For my Stamp Simply post, please scroll down! **

Hi everyone!

Today we are featuring This and That and Simply the Best.  Here's my card with Beth's This and That set...

Yay!  It's Christmas!  I love Christmas!  This card has lots of layers, but it is pretty clean and simple, nonetheless.  I used a snowflake embossing folder to add some texture on the top and bottom, stamped my greeting and added a gingham bow with a little jingle bell and some twine.  The jingle bell just makes me happy! : )

My second card today combines the today's two featured sets.  I used Simply the Best in the background, and This and That for the words.  The background is easy - just stamp your images in versamark, emboss with white powder and sponge over the top with your choice of inks.

{Stamp Simply} My Shepherd

Good morning everyone!  I have a collage-y card to share this morning that combines some elements from an older JustRite set in the background with some of the new Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.  I sponged my background first, then added some stamping in shades of mustard and brown, then stamped my greeting and the daisies in black.  I colored in the daisies with colored pencils to give them a little emphasis, then added some Wink of Stella to the flower centers.  I even added another flower to the inside to pretty it up!! : )

Here's my very short shopping list...

JustRite Botanical Medallions and Banners  --

The JustRite set I used is discontinued, but I'm sure you can find some beautiful design elements for your background in some of the other JustRite sets that are still available!
