{Gina K Designs Inspiration Blog Hop} Vine & Butterfly and Triple Play Holiday

Hi everyone!

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! It's time for our September Release and, boy, do we have some treats for you this month!  We hope to inspire you with some eye candy as you hop along with us!  Enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win an awesome grab bag of GKD goodies. Don't forget to check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop to see if you are the winner!

I have two cards to share with you today - one from each of the featured sets.  First, a card from Theresa's Vine and Butterfly...

I used a Fresh Asparagus card base for this card and layered it with a piece of patterned paper from the Autumn Wishes pack.  I stamped a strip of Prickly Pear cardstock with the vine image and ran it through a woodgrain embossing folder, then layered it behind my main image panel.  The two butterflies are stamped with Prickly Pear ink and then I rolled the edges in Fresh Asparagus ink to give them a two toned look.  I used Versamark and white embossing powder for the sentiment.

I used some two tone stamping on this card featuring Melanie's new Triple Play Holiday set as well.  After inking the flower with Versamark ink and then Dark Chocolate ink, I used clear embossing and some heat to make it stand out.  I then inked the sentiment in Faded Brick and rolled the edges in Dark Chocolate ink before I stamped it.  Do you recognize the layout?  I used it for the set of three Friday Funday cards HERE.  Isn't it amazing?  From whimsical to elegant!!

{Stamp Simply} Happy, Happy Birthday

I have a happy card to share today - it's bright and cheerful and, well, HAPPY! :)

The funny thing is that I used a fall stamp set for this card and it really doesn't look fall-ish at all.  I love sets that are versatile like that!!  Here's a picture of the set...

Yup. It's a sunflower set!  And I used a greeting from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamp set Birthday Blessings.  I just adore that font!!!!

Here are the other things I used...

I hope you have a splendid day!

{Share Joy #3} Thanks a Bunch

WooHoo!  It's time for another Share Joy Challenge!!
If you haven't played along yet, you really need to.  I love that I have to actually send out the card I make.  It reminds me of why I started stamping in the first place!!

This week I plan to use my card to send a thank you to a friend who lent me some cross stitch patterns.  I think I might add in a little box of notecards as well.  I used the flower from Taylored Expression''s Watson set as the focal point and colored it with Copics and ProMarkers, accented with a white gel pen.   The background paper is by Gina K Designs (Poppy Prints), and the sentiment is from a Verve set (Joyful Blooms).  I used some liquid pearls in the background and under my sentiment, just to add some sparkle and dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Happy stamping!!

{The Cat's Pajamas} Enjoy Life

YAY!!  I had time to do a just for fun card this morning!  I was afraid I was going to miss another TCP Tuesday challenge!!  I pulled my colors for today's card from the Pop Pop Pop inspiration photo over at The Curtain Call.  And popcorn sounds good with lemonade, doesn't it??? : )

My adorable bunny is from the TCP sets Lemons from the last release.  I colored my bunny with copics and added in some detail with a gel pen and some colored pencils.  The clouds are from the Stitched Cloud and Stitched Fly Cut Ups.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

{Share Joy #3} Sit, Stay, Heal

Hi everyone!

This is my second card today - be sure to scroll down for my Stamp Simply card!!

I really want to stay caught up on the Share Joy challenges, and I wanted to make a card for my brother in law who just had back surgery, so I pulled out Watson and put together a more "manly" card inspired by this week's sketch.  I say inspired by because I changed the orientation of the card and played with it a little, but I think you can still see the general idea!! :)

Thanks again to the folks at Taylored Expressions for sponsoring this challenge.  It is honestly my very favorite one to play in right now because it encourages me to send cards!!

Thanks for stopping by!

{Stamp Simply} Joy

I haven't been able to play along with the Viva La Verve sketches nearly as much as I'd like this year, so I decided to remedy that today by pulling out a number of stamps and supplies from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I love that Sharon carries such a nice selection of Scripture stamps!

I started today's card by stamping the JustRite Script background stamp with Versamark ink onto a piece of ivory cardstock, then heat embossing it with clear powder.  I then sponged over it to make the variegated background.  For the sentiment, I inked the stamp first with Versamark ink, and then inked it with Turquoise ink and clear embossed it as well.  That set my ink so I could watercolor over it with a small wet paintbrush and my distress marker.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Here's my Stamp Simply shopping list for the week...

Blessings!

{Share Joy} #2 - God is Good

I'm using my pretty Zinnia Bouquet (Taylored Expressions) again today for this week's Share Joy Challenge card.  It's easy for me to watercolor and it lends itself so nicely to pretty scripty sentiments like this one from Verve.  I have a recipient in mind for this week's card, so I'm going to keep this short and go write in her card instead!! :)

Have you played along in the challenge yet?  My goal is to play along each week, just so I'll send out a card.  You know - actually put a stamp on it and mail it!! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

{Stamp Simply}

Happy Thursday!

I'm back today to share a card make with a couple of Autumn flavored sets from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I started by cutting out a rectangle of watercolor paper with the largest of the Pierced Rectangle Dies, then using three different fall colors to create a watercolored background.  I stamped my sunflower and ladybug in Versafine ink and clear embossed them both.  Then I watercolored them using Distress Markers and a fine paintbrush.  After my background was dry I attached my sunflower with 3D foam, stamped and embossed my sentiment, and then added a few sequins for some bling.  Everyone needs a little bling!! : )

Here's my Stamp Simply Shopping List this week...

Thanks so much for stopping by this week!  Be sure to send a card or two away and make someone smile!!

Blessings!

{Share Joy} Bouquet of Thoughts

I'm sneaking in under the wire with a card for the first Share Joy Challenge!  I decided to use the colors rather than the sketch this time.  I stamped and watercolored Taylored Expressions Zinnia Bouquet, then added a little thinking of you tag from a Verve set.  Clean and simple - quick and easy.  Then I sat right down and wrote in my card, added a family picture, and tucked it in a stamped envelope ready to mail.  WOO HOO!!  What a great challenge to encourage us to send at least one card a week.  I hope I can keep up!!

{Gina K Designs Inspiration Blog Hop} Friends Til The End

Today we're featuring stamps from the Friends Til the End set -
just ONE of the sets in the newest Stamp TV Kit!!

Let's do a happy card first, ok??  I stamped my bee in Charcoal Brown ink and colored it in with Spectrum Noir markers.  I embossed half of the main panel before stamping the little flight path in Honey Mustard ink.

My second card today is one of the little 4 1/4" square ones that I like so much. : )  I cut all my circles out with dies before stamping the images - that way I could curve my sentiment to (sort of) match my circle, and I could position my critters where I wanted them.  Nothing too out of the ordinary here - just cute and useful! : )

Well, that's it for today!  I'll give you the list of my fellow designers again, in case you're just getting started... otherwise, you can jump right over to the shop to pick up your kits and any other stamps and supplies you saw on today's hop.   And don't forget to visit me on Friday in the Stamp TV Addicts Group for another edition of Friday Funday!  See you then!!

{Stamp Simply} Grace

I have a card to share today that uses the pretty Grow in Grace set by Our Daily Bread and some Pickled Pear paper by Kaisercraft.  After layering some papers together for my background, I cut a square of ivory cardstock and stamped the flower image in Versamark ink, then embossed it with white embossing powder.  I used a sponge dauber to add ink to the panel and then I stamped the sentiment.  Isn't it a pretty contrast?  The sponging makes it just glow!  I added a little sheer ribbon and some baker's twine to the side before finishing the card off with a double bow.

{Gina K Designs Inspiration Blog Hop} Autumn Wishes

The Cast and Crew of Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop to celebrate the brand new Stamp TV Kit - Autumn Wishes! Gina and the Cast and Crew will inspire you with many fun projects for your students, their teachers, and your friends in the teaching profession!

Today we're featuring stamps from the Autumn Wishes set -
just ONE of the sets in the newest Stamp TV Kit!!

My first card spreads a little sunshine, following Gina's video tutorial HERE.. I covered the corner of my cardstock with a circle while I sponged my rays to keep it clear.  The flowers were stamped in Versamark and clear embossed before I started sponging.

For my second card, I decided to use darker, earthy colors, so it would be suitable for the men in our lives.  I stamped the leaf around the edges of the cardstock in Dark Sage and Fresh Asparagus, then added a ribbon, a couple of banners and a matted sentiment.  I even added a little handwritten "to you" to personalize it a bit.  I like how clean and simple it looks, but interesting, too!

Well, that's it for today!   Have you ordered your kit yet?  I know you'll love it!!  I'll give you the list of my fellow designers again, in case you're just getting started... otherwise, you can jump right over to the shop to check out the stamps and supplies you saw on today's hop.   And don't forget to visit me on Friday in the Stamp TV Addicts Group for another edition of Friday Funday!  See you tomorrow and Friday!!  :)
