{Stamp Simply} Just Typed

Goodness!  It's feast or famine around here! : )

Today I have two cards to share using the Just Typed set by JustRite.  First up is a card using some My Mind's Eye Notable paper.  LOVE those colors and the polka dots!!

I stamped the typewriter on some Kraft cardstock and trimmed it out.  Then I stamped the word LOVE on a piece of the patterned paper that already had the cute little label space on it.  I tucked my typed note in behind my popped up typewriter and added a few Prima Sugar Dots to carry through the LOVE theme.

For my second card with the set I went clean and simple.  First I stamped the background with the JustRite Script stamp.  Then I used Versamark ink to stamp the typewriter over the background.  I embossed it with white embossing powder, then sponged over it with a Warm Cocoa ink, before stamping my greeting and adding a few MME Notable patterned paper flags.

{Stamp Simply} Rejoice and Be Glad!

Good morning and happy Thursday!

My attempt at the Mojo Monday sketch this week features a gorgeous set from JustRite called Rejoice and Be Glad.  Isn't that font just lovely??  I used some paper from my Blomma paper pad, but my camera seems to have darkened the colors a little.  The reddish pink in the picture is really quite a bit more pink than it appears!  I had a pack of Simple Stories Cozy Christmas enamel dots that called out to be used.  It's hard to see in the picture, but they are really, really gold and sparkly in real life!

{Gina K Designs Inspiration Hop!} NorthWoods 2 and Birthday Essentials Stamp TV Kit

Hi again!!!

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! Gina and the Cast and Crew will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see the full list of winners check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hops.

It's Stamp TV Kit day on the blog hop!  AND NorthWoods 2, which is SUCH a great masculine set.  Haven't the projects you've already seen been amazing???

I'm going to start with my Birthday Essentials Stamp TV Kit card.  My patterned paper pack is in the mail, so I pulled out an older pack - Red Carpet - for today's card.

And yes, that focal panel is a tiny bit unstraight.  Sigh.  I didn't notice until it was too late.  So just pretend it was supposed to be tilted, ok??? : )  My card was very easy to put together.  I cut out a white focal panel with my Spellbinders pierced rectangle dies, then stamped the balloons and sentiment in black.  I used the front cover of the paper pack to provide the little bits I used to paper piece the balloons.  Then I matted it with Red Hot cardstock and layered it on a piece of patterned paper from the pack, backed with a piece of Dark Chocolate cardstock.  I wrapped it with red organdy ribbon before attaching it to a white card base.  I really, really like this paper pack.  You might be seeing more of it in the next few weeks.  Maybe for another Blast from the Past in the Stamp TV Kit Addicts group?  We'll have to see!!

My second card features Theresa's NorthWoods 2 set.  SUCH a cool set!

First I stamped the script stamp from Mel's Stately Flowers 9 set in Honey Mustard on a piece of Ivory Cardstock.  Then I stamped the tree and bear from the NorthWoods 2 set in Versamark ink and embossed them in white.  I used a sponge dauber and sponged Warm Cocoa ink around the edges, then inked up my sponge with Honey Mustard and sponged around the tree and the bear.  I attached my ivory piece to a mat of Warm Cocoa, then layered that on a larger piece of Prickly Pear.  I added a piece of ivory organdy ribbon and a Dark Chocolate button tied with twine to anchor my sentiment.  I matted it with Dark Chocolate cardstock and attached it to a card base.  VERY easy but with a WOW factor!  So fun!!

{Gina K Designs Inspiration Hop!} Stately Flowers 9 & KnitWit Diva

Hi everyone!

Today we are showcasing Melanie's gorgeous new Stately Flowers 9 set and Debbie's cute Knit Wit Diva.

Let's start with Stately Flowers, shall we?  I stamped my flowers with Memento Black ink on Heavy Base Weight White cardstock and then colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.  Then I cut a circle from some Prickly Pear cardstock and centered it over my flowers so they would peek through.  I stamped the flowers again in Prickly Pear ink in the lower right corner and added a little flag anchored with brushed copper brads.  The little "splatters" on the Prickly Pear cardstock were done with my Spectrum Noir marker.

I did some more tone on tone stamping with Debbie's set, but this time in orange...

I stamped a sentiment from the set onto a die cut and then doodled a border with an orange marker.  Then I stamped the little basket in Memento Black ink and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.  I popped it up on the smaller die cut, popped that up over another larger die cut that I had stamped with Turquoise Sea and Sweet Mango balls of yarn, and then attached that to my tone on tone layer.  Super simple!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll see you again tomorrow!!

Happy Birthday to You!!

Hi everyone!

I'm joining in on a very special birthday blog hop today for Sharon Johnson of the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!!  It is so fun to be able to honor her in this way.  She is an AMAZING person (she gets SO much done every day!) and an AMAZING stamper (I love, love, LOVE her work!) and has an AMAZING store, too!!!  I feel so blessed to design for her!  So.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHARON!!

My card today uses two sets from JustRite and a number of Spellbinders Dies.  I started by stamping my orange cardstock with the JustRite background stamp - Dotted Fronds.  I stamped enough cardstock so that I could cut my flower from it as well.  The focal image is a sentiment from the JustRite set - Birthday Wishes for You.  It is stamped on a piece of ivory cardstock cut with one of the Pierced Oval dies which I layered on a Large Scalloped Oval diecut.  The kraft band was cut with two of the Spellbinders ovals nested within each other and run through my diecutting machine.

Here's my Stamp Simply supply list...
JustRite Dotted Fronds
JustRite Birthday Wishes for You
Spellbinders Ovals - Pierced, Large Scallop, Classic Large
Spellbinders Blooms Three
Spellbinders Sprigs
Rhinestones

I'm your last stop on the hop, but be sure to stop by the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store FaceBook page to give Sharon a HAPPY BIRTHDAY greeting and follow us if you aren't already!!  Thanks for hopping!!

{Stamp Simply} CAS Friday meets MOJO Monday

Good morning!

I played with some stamps from a "new to me" stamp company for today - CAS Friday.  Sharon just stocked the store with this fun Tic Tac Toe board die and a number of Valentine-ish stamp sets, too.  Be sure to check them out, they're adorable!

My first card is a CAS chalkboard style featuring the Tic Tac Toe die, diecut hearts and some words from the 3 in a Row set.  I used the largest die and pierced insert from the Spellbinders Celebrations Pierced Rectangles set to cut a piece out of dark grey cardstock.  Then I die cut the tic tac toe board from white cardstock and the little hearts from My Mind's Eye Honey patterned paper.  I stamped the words on the little hearts and a pink banner, then I distressed the cardstock with an almost dry white ink pad... I knew that would come in handy someday!  I layered my grey layer on a piece of black cardstock and attached it to a white cardbase, so it would be easy to write in.

I'm going to link this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge for masculine cards...  Even though it has pink on it, I think it being so CAS and unfrilly makes it a great card to give a guy on Valentine's Day!

My next card follows this week's Mojo Monday sketch and uses felt and sequins to qualify it to be entered in the CAS Friday challenge.  The pretty tag is cut and embossed with the Spellbinders Build a Tag Two dies that I love.  The paper is also from the MME Honey pad - an older pad, I know, but I think Sharon might have one left if you hurry!   I die cut the little hearts from pink felt and then used my sewing machine to attach them to the tag.  The little XOXO is from the 3 in a Row set.

Thanks SO much for stopping by today!  I hope I inspired you to work on your Valentines!! : )

A Couple Challenges

I had a whole afternoon in my stamping area, so after I cleaned my desk (which took a few minutes about an hour) and made a couple of DT cards, I decided to play with some of the new things that I got over Christmas.

First a card for this week's Mojo Monday challenge...

I watercolored my new Zinnia Bouquet from Taylored Expressions with Distress Markers, and used a new Verve set for the sentiment.

Then I made a card for Jen's Deconstructed Sketch...

This one uses itty bitty sun, cloud, and fox dies from Taylored Expressions as well as flags and a border from MFT and a hill die from The Cat's Pajamas.  I didn't even stamp on the card at all!  I used micro brads for the fox's nose and eyes instead of the tiny pieces that were included, just to add some extra dimension.

{Stamp Simply} Filled with Joy

Isn't it nice to start thinking of flowers and pastels and warm weather?  Although if any of you that are reading this are from Australia, you've probably had enough of that!! For today's card I actually used some of my leftover Basic Grey Evergreen Christmas paper for my background and my scalloped mat.  Don't you love it when holiday paper does double-duty?? : )

I stamped the Lily of the Valley bouquet from the Our Daily Bread set Easter Blessings in Versafine Black ink on Ranger watercolor paper and watercolored it with my Distress Markers.  After a quick blast with the heat gun to make sure it was dry, I cut out my panel with the Pierced Square die and attached it to my patterned paper mat.  I stamped my sentiment on a strip of yellow paper and then added some pearls and gold string to my card front before using thin 3D foam squares to attach it to my card base.

{The Cat's Pajamas} TCP Tuesday

Hello friends!  It's time for another TCP Tuesday card!  I picked up a few new TCP sets during the holidays and this What a Blast set was perfect for the challenge because it had clouds in it.  And I LOVE the fact that it looks like SPRING.  I like winter until Christmas is over, and then I'm ready for it to be spring again. : )

I followed the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for my layout and used some of the sweet MME My Girl paper for the background and paper piecing.  Then rest of my little scene is colored with Spectrum Noir markers.

{Verve} To the Moon

Hi friends!  If you are looking for my Season's Givings post just click HERE!
I had some time to play today, though, and I decided to work with the Deconstructed Sketch and Curtain Call challenges and play with my new star dies from Verve.  For the Curtain Call I pulled some of the colors from the Inspiration picture.  Plus I used snowflakes... so that makes it wintery, too!  I took some liberties with the sketch this week...  hope it still passes!

Thanks for stopping by!!
