{Stamp TV} Friday Funday Holiday Hop!

Hello Everyone!!!  Welcome to our Stamp TV Friday Funday Holiday Hop!!

Today is going to be SO MUCH FUN!!!  I've asked some of my fellow Gina K Designers to help me make this an extra special FRIDAY FUNDAY.   You should have come here from the Stamp TV Kit Addicts group and I'm your first stop!!   For today's hop, I challenged each of the designers to come up with a project or two using just a few of the supplies from the Winter Cheer Stamp TV kit. Here's a picture of the supplies we could use...

(I let them use as much gold cord and as many brads as they wanted.
I'm nice like that. LOL!!!)

First a simple snowman card.  I layered my patterned paper on a Christmas Pine mat, then stamped and colored my snowman on a circle diecut.  A white ribbon, a tag with a sentiment stamped in Charcoal Brown ink, and a Christmas Pine Scalloped Circle mat complete my card.

My second card is festive... and SO easy!  I cut and embossed a pierced rectangle, then stamped it with snowflakes and a sentiment from the kit.  I added some gold brads and a little gold cording, then I popped the panel up over another rectangle of white, backed with a piece of Christmas Pine.  I was hoping the swirlies in the patterned paper and the snowflakes with the gold brads in them would give the feel of the fireworks we often see welcoming in the new year.  Speaking of the brads, did you notice that I have three pops of gold (2 brads and the bow) that roughly make the shape of a triangle?  Just a little trick that helps use your embellishments to pull your cards together!

Sooooo ... Would you like to win a limited supply kit of your own? Just hop from blog to blog and gather all the parts of a phrase that will give you some exciting information. Then unscramble them and send the completed phrase to Tricia at thestampersstitches@gmail.com. Be sure to leave a comment, too!!!!  We'll draw a winner on Monday so you can (hopefully!) have your goodies before Christmas. : )

Here's my part of the secret phrase... KIT ARRIVES

OK, now, off to Karen's blog for more inspiration! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!!  I hope my American readers are having a wonderful day with their family and friends and remembering with thankfulness all of the things God has blessed us with!

I used one of the pretty JustRite background stamps on my card today.  It is called Dotted Frond, and it is on sale right now for only $10!  i watercolored my leaves with Distress Markers (which are also on SALE!) and used a Christmas sentiment just to show you how versatile they can be!  Here's my Stamp Simply shopping list for today...

With Thanks

I made a card for the Clean and Simple challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers combining some new and old sets.  I always feel badly when stamps I love are retired, because, even if I really like them, I know they won't be the first ones I grab.  Well, for this challenge I knew just the set I wanted to pull out... an old Flourishes set with gorgeous silhouette stamps and the most beautiful sentiments!

I first sponged in my hillside, using a ripped piece of paper as a mask inside an oval I had cut out with a Spellbinders die. I added the skeleton trees from Gina K's set Little Branches in GKD Charcoal Brown ink(stamped off once), then the pine tree from the newest Stamp TV Kit in Fresh Asparagus. Then I sponged in a little Sweet Corn as sky. I stamped the deer from the Flourishes set in Dark Chocolate and trimmed him out, then attached him with 3d foam and added a sentiment from the same set in Charcoal Brown.  I don't remember for sure, but I think the Flourishes set was called Celebrate the Wonder.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I always love to hear from you!

{Stamp Simply} Christmas Card Set

Hello everyone!

I have a trio of mailable or giftable Christmas cards to share today, featuring the JustRite Christmas Vintage Labels Seven set and some Kaisercraft Mistletoe paper.  Here are some single shots...

Such a quick and easy card!  I used a few Kaisercraft pearls for some bling.

I hand cut around the larger frame, but the smaller one is cut and embossed with a die from the Spellbinders/JustRite Vintage Labels Seven Die Set.

Who doesn' t need some Thank You notes at Christmas time??  The pretty rectangle die is from the Spellbinders Celebrations Pierced Rectangle Die Set.

Here's another group shot...

Wouldn't it be fun to package these in a Clear Box and give them as a gift?

{Stamp Simply} Joy to the World

Have you started playing Christmas carols at your house yet??  Ours came out as soon as the Hallmark Christmas movies started, and, of course, this is one of our favorites!

I stamped my sentiment over a poinsettia / snowflake from JustRite's Festive Poinsettia set.  It is actually stamped on the reverse side of a Celebrations embossed pierced circle, and I outlined it with a TN1 Spectrum Noir marker to make it stand out.  I stamped the extra little snowflakes in kraft ink and cut them out, popping them up over my main sentiment panel.  The papers are all from the pretty Basic Grey Evergreen pad and the sketch is this week's Viva La Verve sketch.  A few rhinestones and TaDa!  Another Christmas card done!!

{TCP} Just for Fun

TCP: Bearing Flowers, Flying By, Framed Up
MFT: Blueprints, Double Edged Border
Doodlebug:  Friendly Forest
Gina K:  Spectrum Noir Markers, White Pure Luxury Cardstock

Just for fun today!

I wanted to stamp a card for the TCP Tuesday Anything Goes challenge and I loved the Color Throwdown #318 colors - so here's my combination. : )  I used some Doodlebug Friendly Forest paper, TCP's Bearing Flowers image, and an old TAC sentiment that I love.  The pretty die is from the Framed Up die set by TCP, and I made the clouds by stamping clouds from the TCP Flying By set on one side, cutting them out and turning them over.   Necessity is the mother of invention, as the saying goes!

{Gina K} Monday Morning Inspiration

Good morning!  Please enjoy more Monday inspiration from a few members of the Gina K. Designs team!  We are sharing more ideas for some past favorite seasonal and all occasion stamp sets.  Beth Silaika also created a video for you, so be sure to leave her some love!  Please enjoy this mini hop!

I have a couple of cards to share this morning -- using patterned paper, of course!! : )

My first card uses the Keep Calm set and some paper from the Birthday Hoot paper pack.  I just love the colors in this pack.  They are so cheery!

This card makes me giggle because of the owl that is right behind the "Keep Calm".  His eyes look anything but calm!! LOL!!

My second card uses the set Let's Talk.  I combined it with Penguin Joy and some paper from the Blizzard pack.  I used a Vintage Cuts border on the side and punched out a snowflake for an embellishment.

Are you all inspired now???  YAY!!  Have a fabulous week creating, ok??

Here's the rest of the list, in case you missed anyone!

Thanks in advance for all your feedback and comments!  We all truly enjoy designing for you!

{The Curtain Call Challenge} Scripture Card Set

When I saw the Boho Bright Curtain Call challenge, I knew I had just the right papers for it!  These bright papers from the Kaisercraft Hopscotch pad are really out of my comfort zone, but they fit with the brightly colored inspiration photo.  Verve is the sponsor this week, and I love Verve stamps - especially the Scripture ones - so I decided to see if I could combine the two.  Here's my group of cards...

{Stamp Simply} Christmas Owl

Hooray!  It is Stamp Simply day on my blog and I have a happy card to share!  This card was SO fun to make!!  I used some of the dies from Spellbinders' Celebrations Line - Build a Tag Two and Winter Owl - and built a little winter scene using cardstock and Basic Grey Evergreen patterned paper.

I cut and embossed the tag on the blue paper, then cut it out again from the "snowy" paper and freehanded some snow.  I used a small circle punch to cut out the moon from a corner.  I cut and embossed my owl out of brown cardstock, his wing from kraft, and his hat and scarf from patterned paper.  When I was assembling him I added a tiny piece of ivory cardstock behind his eyes and some black brads.

The sentiment is from the JustRite set "Christmas Vintage Labels Seven".

Here's the list of my supplies...

LOTV Christmas Wishes

I pulled out my Distress Markers tonight to color up James Bear for the Lili of the Valley  Monthly Challenge.  I used the sketch from Try Stampin on Tuesday and a sentiment from Verve.  Pretty CAS, other than that!!

I really love how easy it is to color large areas quickly by watercoloring with the markers!!
