It's Teaser Time!

Hello, everyone!

Welcome to my stop on today's Teaser Time parade!!  I can't begin to tell you how amazing this release is and how humbled and grateful I am to be a part of it!!  I can't wait to show you all the amazing products you have to choose from!

Be sure to come and hop each day,
You'll LOVE what you will see!!
The sets and dies will make you swoon,
You'll chortle loud with glee.

There's not one thing that you won't love,
And want to have at home.
They're better far than I can say
In just a little poem!

But one thing I can't stress enough,
It's -- cardstock is the key!!
I've gone with off-brands far too long,
NO MORE -- It's MFT!!!!!

One of the first sets that caught my eye from this release was this BEAUTIFUL Peaceful Wildflowers set by Lisa Johnson.  There are SO many things we'll be able to do with these flowers.  Think emboss resist, simple silhouette, watercoloing... SIGH!  And there is a matching die set, too!!!  For my project today I did a simple color block card using the FABULOUS MFT cardstock.  I stamped the flowers with the coordinating color MFT ink.  (Which is WONDERFUL, by the way!), and then added one of the sentiments from the set on the center strip.  The pretty end scallop was cut with a piece from the new Blueprints 3 DieNamics set.  SWOON!!!  I added pearls and gems to the flowers, and tied up the layers with hemp cord.  (Also a must have... Are you making a list???? :)  I popped up the entire focal image layer before attaching it to a kraft cardstock card base.  Easy Peasy!!  Wouldn't a set of these notecards stamped with different sentiments make a fun gift set??  You could even make them in the recipient's favorite color!!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today and remember that all of the new products will be available next Tuesday, May 7th at 10pm Eastern.  I hope you'll come to the release party in the MFT forum on SplitCoast that evening, too, if you can.  It starts at 8pm Eastern and is so much fun.  I'd love to chat with you!  You make me smile!!! ~~ Tricia

Happy Birthday Poppies

It's time for another Wednesday Sketch Challenge at My Favorite Things!  I haven't been able to put down my Pretty Poppies set yet.  I think I could make cards for a year with it!  I love the fonts in the sentiment, the pretty solid poppies and the fabulous text strip.  SIGH.  It is a definite MUST HAVE in my stamping area!  For the shaded section, I used the smaller of the two rectangle dies in the Blueprints 1 Die-Namics to cut a piece out of a sheet of typing paper.  Then I stamped the text strip through the mask onto my card and added some sponging.  The sentiment strip is cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Be sure to stop over at the MFT blog to see the rest of the DT's fabulous cards.  There is always TONS of inspiration!!!  Don't forget that there is a chance for a weekly prize, valued at up to $20 in vouchers to the MFT Boutique. You can submit your entry using the keyword MFTWSC121 to the Gallery at Splitcoaststampers. Entries for this week’s challenge will close on Tuesday, April 30th at noon EST.

Best Wishes

The Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge for this week was to make a wedding card... which was very handy since I need one right now! : )  I stamped the large bouquet from the Summer Blossoms set and popped it up over my card base.  The sentiment is from the fantastic Tag Lines set.  That set has all the sentiments you could need, and in such pretty fonts!  I've used it again and again and again!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments!!

Blessings!

Blessings to You

Today's card uses sweet Tilda with Wrapped Heart that I won from Scrapbooking AllSorts in Australia.  How fun!!  I colored her in spring-like colors to enter her in the Loves RubberStamps and Stamp and Create challenges and used a Sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I followed the Ribbon, pearls, machine stitching row over at Totally Tilda .  The sentiment is retired from The Angel Company.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!! : )

Blessings!

Frame It!

For today's MFT Sketch Challenge Post click here!

This week's Timeless Tuesday Challenge on the Flourishes blog was to incorporate a frame into your design.  I made my frame from Flourishes White cardstock using a both a scalloped and a regular circle die from Spellbinders.  The pretty tulips are from the April Showers set and the sentiment is from Inside and Out You.

Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments.  You brighten my day!! :)

I'm Happy!

Happy, Happy!  I am happy!
'Cause I get to play
With the MFT DT
On this Wed-nes-day.

Sketches are such fun to do,
Following a picture.
No one's card will be the same.
What will be your mixture??

Hello friends!

I *am* happy today, because I get to play along with the Design Team at My Favorite Things this month!  Can you imagine??  I still can't believe it's true.  What a huge privilege!!  Today is Wednesday Sketch Challenge day and I chose to work with some of the first stamps I ever got from MFT -- Pure Innocence  Love You with all my Heart and Clearly Sentimental Happy Thoughts.  I just love the sweetness of the Pure Innocence line and I thought that was a perfect sentiment for today!!  I paper pieced my little PI girl with some scraps of MME paper and added some stitching to tie together my main layer and a section of Wonky Scallop Border Die-Namics.  The flags were made with the  First Place Award Ribbon DieNamics.

I'm so thankful that you stopped to visit me today.  I hope you'll join us for the challenge!!
There is a chance for a weekly prize, valued at up to $20 in vouchers to the MFT Boutique. You can submit your entry using the keyword MFTWSC120 to the Gallery at Splitcoaststampers. Entries for this week’s challenge will close on Tuesday, April 23rd at noon EST.

Saddened...

Around the House

Hi everyone!

My dear husband and I have been out of town since Thursday visiting our daughter at college, so now I'm scrambling a little to get a challenge or two done before the deadline!  I didn't want to miss the Flourishes challenge this week, but it was a HARD one for me!  The challenge was to use something you would find around the house.  I think I should have corrugated a piece of a toilet paper tube, but instead I grabbed the first thing I saw, which was a paper towel, and ran down to my craft area to put together a card.

I stitched my *ahem* embossed background {aka paper towel!!} to a mat of blue cardstock... it kept spreading out though, so not as much of the mat is visible as when I started!  The adorable bookplate and tag dies are stamped with images from the Botanical Bookplates 2 set.  I colored the Lilies of the Valley with Prismacolor pencils.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Blessings!

Hello, Hello!

Good morning!  I had fun putting together a card this morning for a number of different challenges that I follow.  I started with the MFT sketch for the week and the colors from Simply Magnolia, and since I was going to be doing a Magnolia challenge I chose Mini Tilda with Balloon as my focal image.  I kept my card "understated & (hopefully!) elegant" for the challenge at Tilda's town, and popped up both the image and the little balloon for the Love's Rubber Stamps 3-d challenge.  Magnolia Down Under had a bingo challenge.  My row is... Pink, Sentiment, Embossing (on the panel behind Tilda).  Finally Magnolia-Licious wanted Buttons, Bows or Beads, and I have a gold bow.  WHEW! : )  That's a busy card for being so simple!!

Thanks so much for your sweet comments.  They make my day!!

It's Flourishes Day!

Hi everyone!  It's Flourishes Day on my blog! : )

It's been an incredibly busy week, so I'm sneaking under the wire with my Timeless Tuesday entry for this week! NO!  I missed it by an hour!  ARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!  Anyway,  the challenge was to layer two forms of ribbon, so I layered sheer organdy and gold cording.  The stamp is from one of the Botanical Bookplates sets, but I don't think I'd used it yet, and the Happy Birthday  sentiment is from the set MixNMugs.  I'm SO sad I missed the cutoff.  Sigh. : (

Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp:  Birthday
Sketch N Stash:  Sketch w/Embossing

For my next card I used the same stamp but was inspired by the colors in the Summer Lovin challenge photo... which cutoff I did NOT miss! : )  I hope you'll play along, too!!

Spring Birthday

Hi friends!  I've been SO busy this week that I haven't had time to stamp.  I hope to be able to catch a few minutes to play later this afternoon, though.  I have Flourishes and MFT challenges to catch up on!!

First, though, I have a Magnolia card to show you.  Of course I made it with the Magnolia Down Under sketch... which ended about a day ago, Austrailian time!  Silly me!!  That's ok, there are lots of challenges to enter!! : )

I used a sweet spring-y mini Magnolia (Tilda with three flowers) and watercolored her with SU and Tombow markers.  I added some of my own die cut flowers and used a Happy Birthday sentiment from Flourishes to decorate the little tag.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Challenges:
Loves RubberStamps - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Bday Cards
Time for Magnolia - Use a Tag
