More Clear Dollar Previews!!

Hello again!

My first card today is my very favorite from this month.  I liked it so much that I gave it to my daughter for her birthday!  And it's the Stamp of the Month this month, so you can earn it free with a $50 order!!  Yippee!!  Just a few design notes.  My ruffled ribbon is just some thin twill that I folded up and sewed a line through.  It actually isn't folded up under the bunny...  just where you'll see it. :-)  The cute little layered tag on the bottom was done with the Tabs and Tags dies.  I *love* that set of dies!!  Now if I could just find my Tabs & Tags Additions stamp set...  I think my craft room ate it. :(

Next up is an Easter card.  It's coming soon!  There are three fun, ornate Easter eggs to color in this set!

And Scriptures of Hope...

I used the butterflies from the Bold Butterfly set and stamped them off to make them lighter.  Then I stamped the word HOPE in Black.  The set comes with *gorgeous* Scripture verses that I know I'll use often, but they didn't fit my bookmark very well. :-)  I used the Tabs & Tags die set again on the top of my bookmark, to put my eyelet through.  I like the polished look it gives.

Well, there you have them!  These sets will be available tomorrow in the Clear Dollar Stamps store.  Happy Shopping!!

Blessings!

Clear Dollar Previews Here!!

Hello friends!  It's time for another release at Clear Dollar Stamps!  The sets this month are just fantastic!!!  Let's start with Hoppy Frogs...

Mine is pink. :-)

Then comes Sentimental Flowers...

Isn't this such a pretty set?  The line that I used for a sentiment is actually curved like the stem of the flower in the set, but since it was a clear stamp, I could straighten it out.  Too fun!

Finally... Butterfly Dies and a set to match!!!

Butterflies are always a favorite, and this set (which I'll show you more of tomorrow!) and these dies make quick and easy butterfly cards.  In case you're wondering, the area above the butterfly where the sentiment is stamped is colored in with an E41 copic marker and the leaves were drawn in with a YG91 marker.  I did that on another card the other day and liked it so much that I tried it again!  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I'll have more previews tomorrow!!

Blessings!

Faith's Flowers

I colored the digi from Whimsy and Stars again this afternoon and used the SCS sketch as a starting point.  I think it got a little busy... but I'll just call it vintage and pretend that I meant it like that! :-)

I'm going to enter this in the Paper Pretties challenge to sew on your card, Pixie Cottage's challenge for flowers, and Fab N Funky's challenge to use a digi.

Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings!

Birthday Wishes

I pulled out a set that I'd gotten when I was still a demo with The Angel Company -  Everyday Events - to make a card for Heather's sketch challenge this week.  I'm getting it done early...  Woohoo! :-)  I colored the image with copics and paper pieced the balloon.  The dp is a free download from TAC called "Robyn".  It's one of my favorite colorways!!  The HB and happy birthday stamps were Gift with Purchase stamps when I was an Angel.  I just love them!  TAC has some fabulous specials on right now with lots of free stamps when you place an order...  but I'm on a budget enforced spending freeze, so I'll use what I have and drool over what everyone else gets!  LOL!

Pretty Pastel Polka Dots

Heather had a sweet sketch this week that worked perfectly with this little bird from one of The Angel Company's hostess sets.  I had fun playing with the polka dot papers and ribbon that I had in my stash - from PTI, I think - and I even paper pieced the umbrella! :-)

Blessings!

Faith Flower

Here's another precious image that I just received from Whimsy & Stars.  Isn't she just adorable??  I decided to try reddish-gold hair and I think I like how it turned out. :-)  Don't you love it when that happens?  I've been trying to clean the designer paper scraps off of my desk, so this card is a conglomeration of designs from who knows where. :-)  I colored the little lady with Copics, added a sentiment from The Angel Company and tried a new ribbon treatment that I'd seen on one of Laurie Wilson's cards.  I'm entering my card in the following challenges...

Craft Your Passion - buttons
2 Sisters Challenge Blog - flowers
Copic Creations - something new + copics

May your blessings be bountiful!

Puppy Love

I had so much fun coloring this digital image from Whimsy and Stars today!  Aren't they just the cutest couple??  I have the perfect couple in mind to give it to for their anniversary.  The sentiment is from an Angel Company hostess set.  I followed the Card Patterns sketch (mostly!), and used Spots and Dots for My Time To Craft.   The theme works well for these two challenges, too!

One Layer Wonder

I had to try a One Layer card today, just cuz it was the challenge over on The Angel Company papercrafting community.  Do you see my new watermark?  I got it at DigiDesign House and I'm just thrilled.  I love that font!!!

A New Beginning Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's Clear Dollar Stamps blog hop!  If you've come from Cassie's blog, you're in the right place, or if you'd like to start at the beginning of the Hop and get inspired, head back to Lori's blog and I'll see you back here in a few minutes! :-)

Our theme for this month is New Beginnings.  I was trying to think which stamp set or digi would be appropriate for the theme and, of course, I came up with New Baby, or Wedding, or First Day of School, but then I ran across this Romans 12:2 Value Verse and I knew that *this* was the perfect "New Beginning" for the new year.  This is definitely what I would like to work on this year.  To have my mind changed more and more so that it's more important to me to please God with my life than those around me in the world.  I would love to be a proof of the love of God to others!

Thanks so much for hopping by!  Don't forget to leave comments at each hop, because there are PRIZES, of course!!  Now off you go to Christi's blog next!

Blessings!

Digi Release Day!

It's digi release day at Clear Dollar Stamps and there are fun things to see today!  The set that I got to work with is called "I Love You BeeCause".  I used the heart image and layered "...just BeeCause" over the top, then colored the image with copics.  See the leaves on the heart?  I colored the heart with E41 and then drew in some leaves with my YG95 copic to mimic the leaves on the background paper... which is one of my last scraps from the Capella Paper Kit that I got from Clear Dollar.

I used the Truly Scrumptious sketch for my card and used two words in my sentiment which is the Aud Sentiments challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Be sure to check out Lori's blog for more sets!

Blessings!

A TAC Sketch Challenge

I had a chance to play in my craft room today so I decided to make a card following the sketch challenge on Heather Scott's blog, which is featured on the TAC Papercrafting Community this week.  I pulled out one of my pretty TAC stamp sets (called Singing Praises, I think...) and some dp that I found in my stash and went to work.  The little birdy is watercolored with my Tombow markers and the colors are so bright and vibrant in real life that it makes me think of spring!! {{smiles}}

Have a blessed day!

Hope for Katie

I made a card with the sweetest digi set today!  It's called "Hope" and it's from KnK Designs.  The set is in honor of Katie Renz, a fellow papercrafter who was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Gastric Cancer.  All of the proceeds from this set will go to Katie to help with her medical bills and other expenses.  I hope you'll stop by KnK and take a look at this and the other adorable sets!!!

I made the card with this week's Splitcoast Sketch and I'm entering it in the Color Throwdown and Kaboodle Doodles challenges as well.

Blessings!

Help for Katie

Some of you may know that our dear design team leader from Clear Dollar Stamps - Katie Renz - was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Gastric Cancer.  Today one of her blogging friends - Jak Heath - is offering a huge collection of digi sets donated by digi artists all across the blogosphere to help raise money for Katie and her family as they face the medical expenses that will accompany her treatment.   I do hope you'll drop by Jak's website and see, and perhaps even make a donation yourself, if you are able.  I know it would be such a blessing!!

My cards today are from two of the sets donated by Clear Dollar Stamps.  The first set is called "Sending Love".  Don't you just love this balloon and the clouds?  It's so easy to resize digi stamps, and I was able to put smaller clouds in the background and pop up some larger clouds for dimension.   I figure that this will be good for a non-traditional valentine for my husband or son.

The next set is called Sew Grateful.  It's chock full of sewing notions and sweet sentiments.  I combined a few of the images to make my focal grouping.  And, of course, I had to add some stitching to the card!! :-)

I do hope that you'll drop by Jak's website to see the other sets being offered as a "thank you" for your donation.  I know that my heart has been so heavy for Katie and her family as they face a new year of uncertainty.  Let's do all that we can to help!

Blessings!

Be a Blessing

Well, the challenge at Crafting with Deedee's digis this week was to make a card to connect or reconnect with someone, and Karen is encouraging us to "Be a Blessing"and encourage someone, so I made this card to send to my dear friend, Tina.  She's one of those "kindred spirit" type friends, but even though we live within 10 miles of each other, we don't see each other very often.   I'll put it in the mail tomorrow!

Blessings!

You are my Sunshine!

Hello friends!

Welcome to my stop on the From the Heart Blog Hop sponsored by The Angel Company!

My card today uses an image from the Lucy set and a sentiment from the set, Showers of Blessing.  I used the free downloadable paper from TAC - Robyn - and colored Lucy with Copics.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hog Wild

Hello friends!

It's the first Friday of January, and that means that it's time for another Clear Dollar Stamps Clearly Inspired Challenge!  This month the theme is "Love is Sweet", so I pulled out my Loving Critters set and my new Tabs & Tags Die Set, as well as the remains of my Capella Paper Kit and went to work.  I paper piece the little heart on my pig and then colored him in with copics before matting him with my oval and scalloped oval nesties.  I used my Tabs & Tags Dies for the sentiment.

I hope you'll join in with us this month!  It's a great incentive to pull out your Clear Dollar Stamps and show them some love!!

Blessings!

Tag! You're It! Blog Hop

Happy New Year!
and WELCOME to the
Clear Dollar Stamps
TAG, You're It!
Blog Hop!!

We have the *neatest * new die set and coordinating stamp sets to show you today!  And we'll be choosing a winner from all the comments received on the designers' blogs to receive both the set of dies and both sets.  Be *sure* you leave comments!!  (Nice ones, preferably! LOL!)

I wanted to do something special for the hop, so I went to my stamping drawer and pulled out a planner that I bought a few years ago and hoped to alter "someday".  I had some of my Capella paper kit from Clear Dollar left over so that became my colorway, and this is what I ended up with...

I used the new dies to make the center tag, as well as the Tabs and Tags Additions stamp set.  I also used the dies to make the tabs on the side.  The numbers were some rub ons that I won in a blog candy a year or so ago. :-)

For each section of my book, I stamped a background from the Additions set in coordinating ink and then cut a tag to layer on it.  The words are made with stickers.

The Monthly Calendar Section
Month Names added with Stickers

The Notes Tab

The Daily Schedule Tab
I cut a piece of patterned paper with one of the dies and attached it to the back cover of the planner .  I caught a piece of ribbon under it with ScorTape to make a bookmark.

Another card using the dies...

Well, that's it for me!  I hope you are enjoying the hop so far.  Your next stop is Katlyn's blog, and she has an *adorable* card to show you!  And here's the whole list in case you get lost or are just starting.

Happy Hopping!
