Moving Update

Oh, how I long to be "settled" again!! We're on week 4 of living with my parents and coming home on the weekends. Hopefully next weekend we'll start to camp out in our new home, but we probably won't really have furniture there until the week following. When I look at all the stuff that still needs to be packed... It's overwhelming!!

One thing that I've really missed is internet access during the week. My folks don't have a computer, so I only get online occasionally when I'm at the library or at my in-laws. On an up note... I get high-speed internet in the new house!!! :) Yippee! No more receiving at 44.0 kbps!!

So - give me another couple weeks and hopefully I'll be stamping away happily again.

Talk to you then!!

"Joy is not in things..."

This card is dedicated to all my Virtual Convention friends. For our final challenge we were supposed to make an "I love VC Rocks" or "I love SU!" type card using at least one punch. Since I only have a few stamps out, I had to be a bit more creative. I chose the saying from one of the retired Sketch type sets (Seaside Sketches, maybe??) and a little girl stamp from Sugar and Spice. The girls are watercolored with the crayons, the background is stamped with Paisley and I used both the Large Oval and Word Window punches. :) Mission accomplished.

I love the saying on this card. It is especially fitting as I am putting things in storage for a year. I look forward to having fewer things around. Perhaps now I can concentrate on a few things and actually get them done!! :)

I'll be away from the computer for a few days at a time as we transition to our new home over the next few weeks. Be sure to check back periodically for updates! :)

You're Special...

I've seen so many of these pocket cards lately that I just had to try one for myself. It's a card for a little boy who just had stitches in his eye... can you imagine?? The set is the Stamp of the Month set from TAC for July. (Remember those are the only sets that I have out!) The cardstock is actually a fall mat pack I bought from JoAnn's last year. I love the colors!

I've really enjoyed the Watercolor crayons lately. I only have a set of 24 Lyra watercolor crayons right now, but I think that I will get the Stampin Up ones in the near future. To have all 48 colors would be wonderful, especially some pinks and greens.

I love Stampin' Up's tab punch, too. I'm looking forward to the scallop punch being back in stock, although it looks like it won't be until early September. That's ok, though, because I should be settled in my new house by then & ready to order.

Are any of you looking for a Stampin' Up! demonstrator?? I'd love to help you out! I'll be looking for some new customers after I move and would love to count you among them. :)

Thanks for reading!

Tricia
